Jamae Mosque & Sri Mariamman Temple
This view of the Indian Muslim and Hindu places of worship on South Bridge Road was taken after the introduction of the electric tram which operated here from 1905 to 1927. Located in the heart of Chinatown, the sites of these religious buildings undoubtedly inspired the names of the adjacent Mosque, Pagoda and Temple streets.
